Cornell University's Northeast Regional Nutrition Education Center of Excellence (RNECE) was part of a national effort initiated by USDA to establish Regional Nutrition Education Centers of Excellence. The aim was to build the evidence-base for nutrition education and obesity prevention strategies that produce measurable improvements in health, obesity, nutrition, and physical activity among low-income families and children.
