Biography
Sarah Hess is an Extension Associate for the Food and Nutrition Education in Communities (FNEC) group and the Regional Coordinator for the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) at Cornell University. Sarah provides leadership and support to EFNEP staff, facilitates eCornell Navigating for Success training, and specializes in curricula and social media efforts. Sarah’s prior experience includes leading policy, system, and environmental efforts in school wellness and providing direct education through SNAP-Ed. She is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and holds a Master of Science degree in Nutrition from Mansfield University. Sarah is also pursuing a Ph.D. in Community Nutrition at Cornell University to better understand and support behavior changes that align with a healthy lifestyle in low socioeconomic populations.
