BCTR Scholars introduces undergrads to translational research
The Bronfenbrenner Center for Translational Research has launched BCTR Scholars, a new program that introduces Cornell Human Ecology students to translational research and connects them with communities so they can apply what they’ve learned in the classroom to improve the lives of others.
Translational research brings together researchers, practitioners, policymakers and community members to create better research and implement findings through policies and programs.

Loeckenhoff named Lankton Professor of Developmental Psychology
Corinna Loeckenhoff has been named the Janet and Gordon Lankton Professor of Developmental Psychology in the College of Human Ecology (CHE). Loeckenhoff’s research focuses on adult development and aging, studying how factors like one’s motivations, emotions, life events, cognition and social relationships affect health-related decisions.
A fellow of the Gerontological Society of America and the Association for Psychological Science, Loeckenhoff has also received two SUNY Chancellor Awards for Teaching Excellence and Faculty Service.

Fashion design management students named FSF scholars
Maisie McDonald ’23 and Leah Rosenkranz ’24, both fashion design management majors, were named 2023 Fashion Scholarship Foundation (FSF) scholars. Each earned $10,000 scholarships, attended career workshops and a gala in New York City, and will receive mentoring opportunities.
FSF is a fashion-oriented education and workforce nonprofit that provides scholarship and career opportunities to students. The FSF case study scholarship, their signature program, is open to high-achieving students who submit a winning case study on
