Rizal is a PhD student in Nutrition for Precision Health at Cornell University. His research bridges artificial intelligence, nutrition practices, and evidence synthesis. Working with the Mehta Research Group, he explores how large language models can support nutrition applications, from dietary assessment to personalized meal planning. In addition, Rizal has been working on child and adolescent nutrition using large national datasets and systematic reviews to inform global health policymaking.

Larissa (M.S.) is a Ph.D. candidate in Molecular Nutrition. Before joining Prof. Sander Kersten’s lab, she earned a Master’s degree in Nutrition and Health from Wageningen University in Netherlands, where she developed a strong interest in immunometabolism. Her current research investigates how lipid metabolism shapes immune cell function, integrating in vitro immune models with a human fasting study using high-throughput metabolic and transcriptomic analyses. Her research could help uncover new therapeutic targets to restore impaired

Ruihan is a Ph.D. candidate in Dr. Kimberly O’Brien’s lab. She obtained her BA in Food System Nutrition and Health at the University of Washington-Seattle.
