Professor Emerita Marie Caudill is internationally recognized for her research on folate and choline nutrition, particularly the intake levels needed to support optimal metabolism and maternal and fetal health during pregnancy. Her work has combined randomized controlled feeding trials with targeted and untargeted analyses of genomic, epigenetic, metabolic, and nutritional outcomes to better understand nutrient requirements and function.
