Human Centered Design
Designing processes and products that enhance human potential, well-being and community, with focuses in fashion design and management, fiber science, interior design, interaction and product design, and environmental psychology.
Nutritional Sciences
Exploring the complex relationship between nutrition and health and contributing innovative solutions to nutritional challenges, especially for maternal and child health, metabolic health, public health and health equity, and precision health.
Psychology
Examining behavioral and psychological development from conception through later life with a focus on the processes and mechanisms underlying developmental change and the ecological and biological contexts in which development takes place.
Design Tech
A multi-college initiative pioneering innovation, research and teaching on topics at the intersection of design and emerging technology.
Research for the public good
With a foundation in rigorous basic science research and direct engagement with communities, our model of translational research moves from the gene to the person, from the person to the social context, and ultimately, to the design of policies, products and programs that improve human lives, feeding back again into research itself.
