Biography

Having earned my master's degree in polymer engineering, I've dedicated my research to advancing biomaterial systems like nanofibers and hydrogels for biomedical applications. My master's thesis explored the development of nanofibrous wound dressings as an innovative treatment for cutaneous leishmaniasis. Since then, as a member of the Department of Fiber Science and Apparel Design, my focus has expanded to encompass the development of diverse wound dressings, drug delivery systems, and tissue engineering scaffolds.

My research endeavors involve the design and synthesis of biomaterials such as nanofibers, hydrogels, microneedles, and nanoparticles for applications in drug delivery and tissue engineering. Aiding from morphological (SEM, TEM), physicochemical (tensile testing, rheology, swelling analysis, degradation assessment, thermal analysis, FTIR, XRD, NMR, etc.), and biological (cell culture, MTT assays, agar diffusion ELISA, and In vivo) investigation techniques we characterize the efficiency biomaterials for their corresponding applications. Through my work, I am driven to contribute to the advancement of biomedical engineering and its potential to revolutionize healthcare outcomes.
