Fran joined Cornell Human Ecology in September 2022 after a long career as a middle and high school English teacher. With a focus on writing and research, Fran works with the Alumni Affairs and Development team to share the inspiring research and programming happening in the college with our supporters. Her love of language began while earning  her undergraduate degree at Princeton University, which led to pursuing her Master of Arts in Teaching at Tufts University. Following her work in the Boston Public Schools for ten years, Fran returned to the Ithaca area to be closer to her family in McGraw.
