My expertise is in the area of nutrition education for limited-resource audiences that is designed to prevent obesity and chronic disease. Prior to my retirement, I lead the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program for New York State and provide program leadership in collaboration with the NYS Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program--Education. I was active in national leadership for both programs. My research was closely integrated with the outreach

Jamila Walida Simon
Jamila Walida Simon earned her Bachelor's Degree from Wells College and her Master's Degree from Cornell University. She began her career with Cornell University Cooperative Extension in New York City (CUCE-NYC) under the direction of Cornell Human Ecology (CHE) alum, Dr. Davis-Manigaulte the former CUCE-NYC Family and Youth Development Program Leader. Jamila served as the CYFAR CITY Project Coordinator while with CUCE-NYC. This launched her love for anchoring youth voices in her positive youth development

Jingwen Zhu
Jingwen Zhu is a researcher and designer based in Ithaca, New York. Her recent work involves e-textiles and connected devices. She is interested in designing engaging interactions and combining traditional crafting methods with innovative technologies.
Originally from China, Jingwen studied digital media at Tongji University, Shanghai, and received her master's degree from ITP NYU. She is currently a Ph.D student researching e-textiles and on-skin interfaces in Hybrid Body Lab at Cornell University.
