Laura Bellows
Dr. Bellows is an Associate Professor in the Division of Nutritional Sciences. In 2021 she joined the faculty at Cornell after spending 20 years at Colorado State University. Her research is focused on the development of eating habits and physical activity patterns in early childhood; interventions in the early care setting; and the influence of parental behaviors and the home environment on the development of these behaviors. How CHE students spent their summer ’24
Each summer, Cornell Human Ecology students have the chance to learn outside the classroom and gain real-world experience through internships, research with faculty and other opportunities.
We asked six undergrads to share their summer 2024 experiences in their own words, from interning at a design firm in London to engaging with the local community at farmers markets across upstate New York to working with teenagers in Harlem on nutrition education.
