TRAILS AI Institute announces first round of seed funding
Malte Jung, associate professor of information science in the Cornell Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science, along with two Cornell alumni, are among the recipients of the inaugural round of seed grant from the Institute for Trustworthy AI in Law and Society (TRAILS). Alumna establishes scholarship to support undergraduates
Gwen Whiting ’98 has established a $1 million endowed scholarship that will provide full tuition to one undergraduate student in the College of Human Ecology each year. Her gift was matched by an additional $500,000 from the university as part of Cornell’s affordability challenge, which aims to make a Cornell education even more affordable for talented students from all socioeconomic backgrounds. Gerontology minor prepares students for an aging world
For Marie Cajoux ’26, her interest in aging began long before she declared a minor.
Watching her grandmother navigate the health-care system, she saw firsthand how difficult and deeply personal aging can be. There were moments when her grandmother struggled to be heard.
