For Kim ’09, design is about the journey
When the refurbished 68th Street Hunter College subway station reopened on Manhattan’s Upper East Side earlier this year, commuters were greeted by three vibrant mosaics.
In decorating the station, the MTA looked to the work of oil painter Lisa Corinne Davis to celebrate the neighborhood’s diversity and opportunities. Jackie Davis-Manigaulte ’72 serves as the Family and Youth Development Program Leader and Director of Community Relations for Cornell University Cooperative Extension’s NYC Programs (CUCE-NYC). She earned her B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies (CHE ’72), her M.S. in Home Economics with a Nutrition Education focus (NYU, ’83), and her Ed.D. in Adult Education (Columbia University Teacher’s College ’08).
