Valeria Savtyreva is a Master’s student in the Division of Nutritional Sciences on the Dietetics track. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science, with a minor in Biological Science, from Rutgers University. In 2020, she began working at a bariatric practice, an experience that sparked her interest in the relationship between nutrition and metabolic health. Caitlyn Pelletier
Caitlyn Pelletier is a Ph.D. candidate in Nutrition, working with Dr. Martha Field. Before coming to Cornell, she earned a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in Neuroscience and Nutrition Science. Caitlyn is interested in brain-nutrient interactions and their implications for human health. Now in Dr. Field's lab, Caitlyn is studying the role of folate-mediated one-carbon metabolism on Parkinson's Disease pathology, with a specific focus on mitochondrial function.
Ruihan Xu
Ruihan is a Ph.D. candidate in Dr. Kimberly O’Brien’s lab. She obtained her BA in Food System Nutrition and Health at the University of Washington-Seattle. Her MPH degree in Nutrition and Dietetics was completed at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She was also trained in the MRT-TI international lactation consultant training program during her second year of MPH.
