I am a professor in the Department of Psychology, director of the Purpose Science and innovation Exchange and co-founder of Purpose Commons. I received my B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and my Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from Florida International University. I completed my postdoctoral training within the Multicultural Research Institute at the University of Notre Dame.

Sander Kersten, Ph.D. is the director of the Division of Nutritional Sciences and the Schleifer Family Professor at Cornell University.  Dr. Kersten received his MSc degree in Human Nutrition from Wageningen University in 1993, and his Ph.D. degree in Nutritional Biochemistry from Cornell University in 1997. Dr. Angela Poole is an assistant professor of Molecular Nutrition in the Division of Nutritional Sciences. The overarching goal of her research group is to modulate the interactions between host factors, dietary intake, and oral and gut microbes, to prevent and manage diseases.
