A trained social worker, Jerrel has spent his career leveraging research and strategic partnerships to address complex social and political issues. At Spotify, he leads global efforts to balance creative expression with minimizing harm — empowering parents to keep their children safe on the platform. Rather than reviewing legislation, Jerrel takes a human-centered approach to engage with the communities he supports. Prior to his online safety work, Jerrel worked in public policy at the state and federal level.
