Researchers-turned-inventors recognized at Bearers of Innovation celebration 

About
The Center for Technology Licensing (CTL) brought together Cornell inventors in Ithaca and at Weill Cornell Medicine for Bearers of Innovation: A One Cornell Celebration. The event recognized 82 lead inventors who submitted their first invention disclosure to CTL in fiscal years 2024 or 2025, and 306 inventors whose technologies were licensed or optioned during that same period.

Paige Tomfohrde (she/her) is a multiracial diasporic settler of color living on and learning from the lands of the Gayogohó:nǫˀ people. She is a PhD candidate in Fiber Science and Apparel Design at Cornell University. She has an MA in Design from the University of Minnesota, a BA in Apparel Design and Technology from Purdue University, and an AAS in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology. Professor Emerita Marie Caudill is internationally recognized for her research on folate and choline nutrition, particularly the intake levels needed to support optimal metabolism and maternal and fetal health during pregnancy. Her work has combined randomized controlled feeding trials with targeted and untargeted analyses of genomic, epigenetic, metabolic, and nutritional outcomes to better understand nutrient requirements and function. Professor Caudill has authored more than 170 research articles, reviews, and book chapters and has delivered numerous
