More than 80 Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) educators from across New York State gathered on campus April 15-17 for the annual Cornell Human Ecology In-Service.

Rachel Dunifon
Rachel Dunifon is the Rebecca Q. and James C. Morgan Dean of the College of Human Ecology. Juan Hinestroza
Juan P. Hinestroza, a U.S. Fulbright Scholar and a PMP®, is the Rebecca Q. Morgan ’60 Professor of Fiber Science & Apparel Design, and directs The Textiles Nanotechnology Laboratory in the College of Human Ecology at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.

I design culturally relevant interventions, in partnership with community stakeholders, that aim to improve diet, health, and overall wellbeing of adolescents that reside in urban communities. I am deeply committed to conducting research that informs public health programming and policy. As such, the majority of my research studies have a clearly identified plan for translation from the very beginning.
