Yoyo is a second-year master's student in the Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University. She is pursuing a concentration in Molecular Nutrition through the Integrated Master of Science and Dietetic Internship (MS/DI) program. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Clinical Nutrition from the University of California, Davis. Her research in the Aydemir Lab focuses on the role of zinc and zinc transporters in the intestine, and how intestinal zinc homeostasis influences obesity, adipose tissue biology, and metabolic health.I’m a first-year master’s student in the Dietetic concentration, working in the Aydemir Lab to study how zinc and its transporters regulate intestinal function and metabolic processes. My research interests include gut–adipocyte crosstalk and the role of zinc and zinc transporters in glucose and lipid metabolism. I earned my B.S. in Clinical Nutrition from the University of California, Davis, where I developed a strong foundation in clinical dietetics and nutrition support.
