Navika Gangrade, Ph.D., RDN, is a lecturer at the Bronfenbrenner Center for Translational Research. In addition to teaching various classes, she is responsible for overseeing the Cornell Human Ecology in New York City summer internship program.

Prior to joining Cornell, Dr. Gangrade was a visiting assistant professor in the Nutrition Program at New York University, Department of Nutrition and Food Studies. She earned her Ph.D. in nutrition and registered dietitian credentials (RDN) from Cornell University, and her B.S. in dietetics from the University of Delaware.

Dr. Gangrade’s teaching, research, and practice as a dietitian focus on health equity. She has been involved in projects, such as designing and implementing a food justice/youth advocacy program for adolescents in New York City and investigating mentorship needs for dietetics trainees underrepresented in the field. Dr. Gangrade is also a licensed registered dietitian and has a specific interest in working with patients in their recovery from eating disorders.
