Prof. So-Yeon Yoon, with guest artist Prof. Won Ha

What happens when a necklace becomes a room?

In Banana Palette, Prof. So-Yeon Yoon explores a creative dialogue between nature, human craft, and artificial intelligence. Inspired by the changing colors of a ripening banana—from pale green to golden yellow, speckled brown, and near-black—Yoon creates ten handcrafted necklaces. She then uses generative AI to translate each piece’s colors, textures, and forms into interior designs for Adams Corners Café. Displayed side by side, the jewelry and AI-generated spaces reveal how human creativity and technology can work together to transform wearable art into spatial experiences.

Guest artist Prof. Won Ha extends this exploration through a modular folding screen featuring Ulsan’s coastal waves. Combining lenticular optics with time-lapse photography, Ha transforms still horizons into fluid motion as visitors move past the work.

Together, their works explore the interplay of nature, craft, and technology—revealing new possibilities for artistic expression across materials, media, and scales.
